£28.00

“Pale green yellow, silver reflections. White tropical fruit, hints of passionfruit and lychees, delicate blossom honey, inviting, intense bouquet. Medium complexity white peach, fresh acid arc, salty lemon finish, elegant, well lasting, shows length, a juicy food companion.”

93 Points, Falstaff

“I love the orange-blossom and ripe-nectarine aromas of this juicy and elegant dry riesling that has a firm base of fine tannin giving neat support at the long, generous finish. Sustainable.”

92 Points, James Suckling

Product Description

The family’s headquarters are located in the small village of Grunddorf in the Kamptal region , where the vinification and storage of the wines also take place. However, the Bründlmayer family’s fine wines originate in the neighboring Kremstal wine region, on largely terraced vineyards around Gedersdorf and Rohrendorf, where soils characterized by loess and conglomerate define the terroir.

The vineyard area now covers 25 hectares, and Philipp Bründlmayer works in over 100 different vineyards . He focuses on bone-dry white wines ; working with Riesling and Grüner Veltliner. Both varieties thrive on top Kremstal vineyards like Moosburgerin, producing exceptional quality. The young winemaker vinifies his brilliantly fresh classic wines in stainless steel tanks, while the complex single-vineyard wines and robust reserve wines mature in oak barrels. With consistently no more than one gram of residual sugar, his wines are unadulterated ambassadors of the Kremstal region . They likely won’t remain a hidden gem for much longer.

The Moosburgerin vineyard is approximately 4 hectares in size and almost 1000 years old. Abundant loess soil and abundant sunshine contribute to a robust body, substantial texture, and saline notes. Philipp Bründlmayer harvests the grapes by hand and selectively, aging the wine in used 500-liter wooden barrels on the lees and partially on the fine lees, thus supporting its natural structure and density.
