“This displays the lovely rich fruits of the vintage in this appellation. It’s full of plump and rich dark fruits with black pepper and spice notes, followed by some menthol on the finish. The tannins are tight, present and clearly of great quality, and although this doesn’t possess the complexity or depth of Calon, it’s still a very good St-Estephe. It should be ready in a few years, and will age very well. 60% new oak.”
