“Located in the southern reaches of the Montalcino zone, near Sant’Angelo in Colle, Lisini is one of the last in the area to harvest. The wines are full-figured, sumptuous and densely packed yet remain wondrously light on their feet. The 2017, which was harvested between the end of September and beginning of October, is no exception. Dripping with ripe cherries and plums, it is a seductive, rather fruit-driven wine shored up by luscious acidity. Clayey tannins wrap around the palate with an iron grip and just a hint of dryness is absorbed by plush, pulpy fruit. This is hard to resist now.”

Spread over an area of 154 hectares in the southern part of the Municipality of Montalcino, Lisini has its ancient roots in the territory of Montalcino since the mid-16th century as evidenced by the oldest documents contained in the family archive.
Lisini wines are born from the vineyards located near the hamlet of Sant’Angelo in Colle, in the southern area of the Montalcino territory, at an altitude of about 350 meters above sea level, with a microclimate that already feels the beneficial effect of the sea currents that rise from the coast of the Tuscan Maremma. The Brunello di Montalcino of the Lisini Winery stands out for a profile that highlights the richness and maturity of the grapes, the result of a particularly suited territory and the great accuracy of the work in the vineyard and in the cellar, to maximize the characteristics of the Sangiovese grosso.
