Product Description

The Dönnhoff Family is proud to call Nahe Valley in Germany home and the first official mention of the Dönnhoff name dates back to 1761. However it wasn’t until many years later that Hermann Dönnhoff (1880-1953) laid the cornerstone for the estate success by
focusing his attention on planting Riesling vines in prized vineyards, and by the 1920s was filling his wines into bottles and selling the finest of them by their individual vineyard names. In 1953 the estate received a Merit of Honor from the government for its outstanding viticultural achievements.

Today Cornelius Dönnhoff the fourth generation now holds the reins and continues to make sure the wines of Weingut Dönnhoff are among the finest white wines in the world. The mastery of each soil and all the nuances of the terroir delivers elegant wines. When tasted in their youth, the wines express subtle aromas of flowers and fruit, with a fresh and lively mouthfeel. After 10 or 15 years of ageing, they reveal their exceptional minerality.
