Product Description
Grenache and Syrah vines located on the Montagnette in Rasteau (alt: 250 m) in the locality known as “Gramiller”, spread over several plots facing South-Southeast, surrounded by woods where different types of soils are found due to folding: pink sandstone, blue clays, rolled limestone pebbles which give the wine freshness.
The grapes are harvested as soon as the skins reveal fruit aromas with few overripe berries in the bunches. Vinified separately in concrete tanks, the Syrah being earlier ripening than the Grenache. Indigenous yeasts. Gentle daily pump-overs. Racking after 12 days for the Grenache and maceration for 19 days for the Syrah. Finally the wine is transferred to concrete tanks for 9 months of aging.
A dense nose of raspberry, blackberry, juniper, rosemary, thyme… garrigue. The nose is confirmed on the palate, accompanied by a lovely freshness supported by beautifully textured tannins, finishing with notes of white pepper and a pleasant salinity.
