“The selection for this carmenere is made from estate-owned vineyards in the interior of the Aconcagua Valley, around Panquehue, a warm area where carmenere (a late variety) can ripen easily. And here it has ripened without problems to a point of tart red fruits that offer a fresh character, uncommon in this variety. The tannins are firm and create a firm, tense texture. A carmenere to open with stewed meats.”
