Mainly Cinsault, with Grenache, Syrah and Merlot. Owned by Jacques Seysses and Aubert de Villaine of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti.
“Fresh new-vintage example of this distinctive IGP rosé. Red-berry fruit on the nose/palate, with a herbal edge to add more complexity. You can taste the low-temperature fermentation techniques via the ester-y hints, but this doesn’t take away from a lively rosé, which has more about it than most pink wines from Provence.”
Domaine de Triennes was founded in 1989 by two icons of Burgundy, Jacques Seyss of Domaine Dujac and Aubert de Villaine of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. Set high up in the hills of the Var region of Provence (north-east of Marseille) the estate now produces some of the most exciting wines of the region.
