Laurent-Perrier Harmony Demi-Sec NV Champagne

£44.00

RS 40 g/l.
“A fraction more colour than La Cuvée. Smells of warm crème anglaise, brioche and peaches. Not awfully sweet tasting, considering all that residual sugar. Loosely woven. Biscuits and nectarines and late-harvest apples. Very appley and easy. But I’m not sure this is sweet enough for dessert. Possibly with fresh strawberries and a spoonful of mascarpone?”

Product Description

Laurent-Perrier was established in Tours-sur-Marne in 1812 and was the first family-owned independent Champagne House. The name “Laurent-Perrier” was created by Mathilde Emilie Perrier, widow of Eugène Laurent, who combined the two family names after the House was expanded. Her daughter inherited the House in 1925 and sold it in 1939 to Marie-Louise Lanson de Nonancourt. The latter, widow and mother of four children, acquired the Domaine Laurent-Perrier and ran the business while two of her sons, Maurice and Bernard, joined the French Resistance.

The House was built around 4 strong convictions: blending, a unique style, the Chardonnay grape variety and innovation.
