2016 Barolo Bricco Boschis Roccheviberti DOCG
£49.00
“Softer, more rounded floral tones lift from the 2016 Barolo Bricco Boschis, with dried raspberry leather, dried rose petal, and apricot. Pure and vibrant, there is linear texture with fine tannins, noted by tea leaf, cranberry, and orange zest. The Bricco Boschis is an elegant wine with a classic feel.”
The Barolo Bricco Boschis by Roccheviberti is produced from the cru vineyards. It is a fairly large cru, with a prevalently western exposure and an altitude between 200 and 300 meters (the Barolo dei Viberti vineyards are in the highest part). The soils, compared to those of the Rocche di Castiglione, are richer in clay, therefore the Barolos from this vineyard have more impressive color, structure and tannins, all of which contributes to the longevity of these wines.
Roccheviberti’s Barolo Bricco Boschis shows a dark and intense garnet color. The nose is broad, with aromas of berries and roots, nutmeg, lots of licorice, then red fruit in abundance, with cherry jam, raspberry and strawberry. On the palate the impact is enveloping, warm and soft, the freshness and tannin are developed later.
