“Very pale gold. Rich, smoky, spicy pear, intensely mineral too but a minerality that is deeper and richer than crushed stones, a minerality that comes from deeper underground. Powerful, grainy textured, with citrus, apricot and pear on the palate, golden flavours and totally dry-tasting but the texture is fabulous too – deep and smooth rather than chewy. Full-bodied, dense yet full of life. Acidity is moderate but it is beautifully fresh in this deep, full-bodied style of wine. Long, complex and impressive. The wine continues long after you have swallowed it. Elegant and intense.”
