2022 Savage Never Been Asked To Dance, Chenin Blanc, Western Cape
£39.00
“A 1956 block of Chenin Blanc, located on a slope of south east-facing granite soils, is the source of this whole bunch-pressed white. Pure, clean, chiselled and pristine, it’s a very faithful expression of its terroir, with lots of understated concentration, pithy acidity and a nice combination of wet stone and honeysuckle aromas and a steely palate.”
This surfer-turned winemaking maestro established the stellar, Platter’s Wine Guide-wowing reputation of Cape Point Vineyards with his stellar Sauvignons. That was until 2016, when he boldly struck out alone to make the wines he always wanted to. Throughout his time at Cape Point, Duncan grew to understand coastal sites, and has continued to seek out maritime and high elevation sites across the Western Cape. Today his wines are in huge demand.
Duncan’s ultra rare Chenin Blanc, catch it while you can.
